Welcome to the principal’s page for Fiske Elementary School. I am currently beginning my ninth year as Principal of Fiske Elementary and I am very pleased to be a part of the Fiske and Lexington School Community.
This year will be my 25th year in education, twenty of which have been spent in administration. I have also been an elementary classroom teacher and I worked as a manager at the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. The constant throughout all of my work has been my desire to bring a high level of quality education to students and to provide them with a safe learning environment.
I am deeply invested in the Fiske School community, and hope to continue building on its prior successes while at the same time, moving the school forward. This means continually looking at how we can best teach students, monitoring their progress frequently and intervening in a timely manner, making very good use of all resources (time, supplies, human resources, etc.), providing multiple opportunities for two way communications within the school community, and ensuring that students feel a level of connectedness to the school.
As we work collaboratively to provide your child with an outstanding school experience, please do not hesitate to contact me should you have suggestions, concerns, and of course, positive feedback that you would like to share. I can be best reached via E-mail at: tmartellone@lexingtonma.org
