Emergency Closing
It is a rare occurrence that school is canceled because of an emergency during the day, e.g., mid-day snowstorm, no heat, etc., but when this happens the principal initiates a telephone chain to alert parents that the children are coming home earlier than usual. We ask every parent to discuss with his/her child what to do in case of an emergency school closing. You, too, need an emergency plan. We ask you not to suggest that the child call you because our telephone lines are jammed on these days and very few calls can get in or go out.
