Library Classes

Students visit the library with their class each week for a lesson, followed by browsing and hands-on curriculum activities at centers. The library curriculum ranges from award-winning literature and authors, to digital citizenship and staying safe online, research skills, accessing library resources and more.

Students also become a part of a reading community during Library and are encouraged to share book recommendations with one another and hear ideas for what might be their next favorite book from classmates and myself. Students and teachers are able to come to the library for additional book selection time, for whole-class or small group research and projects, and for library lunch groups.
