Here is the message Principal Despres sent to all Clarke families on Friday (11/6) afternoon:

Dear Clarke Parents & Guardians,

Good afternoon! I’m reaching out to you today to share information about this year’s Parent-Teacher Conferences at Clarke. As with many other events in our traditional school calendar, parent-teacher conferences will look a little different than usual this year, and flexibility will be paramount. 

Here is this year’s plan:

  • We have set aside two Fridays for conferences: 11/20 and 12/11
  • All conferences will be held remotely, via Zoom.
  • Sign-ups will open at 6:00 AM on Tuesday, 11/10. At that time, you will receive an email message from Assistant Principal Wettstone with directions and links to sign-up pages for conferences.
  • Not all families will want or need a formal conference in all subjects, as teachers should be in regular communication via email and individual websites. We encourage you to use alternate means of receiving feedback from your child’s teachers (e.g., requesting a feedback email from your child’s team and teachers, asking your child for their Google Classroom password and logging in with them to check their progress, etc.).
  • If you feel strongly that you want to have a formal conference and are unable to sign up for a conference time on 11/20 or 12/11, you may request an alternate meeting time with the team/teacher. Please do so by contacting the teacher/team leader directly.
