The Lexington Public Schools is widely known for its dedication and commitment to high quality education for ALL students and it is our mission to ensure that this same high quality educational experience continues to be offered to each and every one of our students. Our district’s enrollments are rapidly increasing and consequently, many of our schools and classrooms have reached or exceeded their capacities. As a result of this rapid growth in enrollment AND, most importantly, to ensure that every child continues to have equal access to a high quality educational experience, there is a compelling need for our district to explore changes to our handling of student assignment.
