CLARKE MS UPDATE – Friday, March 19, 2021

Please read this personal health update  to Clarke families from Principal Despres.

Next week 3/22-3/26 we will be running classes A-E on your schedule.

  • At Clarke: Cohort A 6th, 7th & 8th grade Hybrid students
  • At Home: Cohort B Hybrid students & RLA students

Outdoor Lunch Reminders – the snow and ice have melted and we look forward to outdoor lunch next week.

  • Teams have designated outdoor dining spaces, ensuring fewer numbers and more space for each student.
  • PLEASE help your student come prepared for outdoor lunch – bring a beach towel, a small folding chair, a yoga mat, a jacket – anything to make the experience more enjoyable.
  • DIY Project – Make your own cushion-bag for school.
  • We’re looking for volunteers to help monitor lunches each day (10:30 – 12:15), helping to make this full-return possible.  If interested, please complete the following Google form.

Full Return Date – Wednesday, April 28th.

Please review the informational letter from Dr. Hackett outlining the process for returning in full.

  • If you are interested in changing the learning model for your student, please complete the Learning Model Change FormDue by 6pm on March 25th.
  • If the form is NOT completed – students will be automatically enrolled in their current learning model.
  • Our current model of “cohorting” students will remain, as we work to minimize the need for hallway transitions.

Trimester 2 Extended – due to on-going scheduling prep for the full-return.

  • Tuesday, April 27th – T2 Ends
  • Wednesday, April 28th – T3 Begins

Trimester 2 Report Cards – will go live on Monday, May 3rd.

Surveillance Testing Update:

  • The testing program has been extended to April vacation, thanks to support from LEF!
  • Cohort A students should return their completed samples to Clarke BEFORE 9 a.m. on Monday, 3/22.
  • On Thursday, 3/25 we will hand out COVID test kits for our in-person Cohort A and full-time students in Homeroom to be returned on Monday 4/5.
