If you have concerns about your child’s development and feel they may have a disabling condition in one or more areas of development you should:
  1. Speak with your child’s current teacher if he or she is in a school program.
  2. Speak to your pediatrician about your concerns.

If those individuals share your concerns, please contact our office ( 781-860-5823) to discuss your concerns with the LPS Early Childhood Supervisor of Early Childhood Special Education.

Please remember that children need to demonstrate significant delays, based on standardized testing by LPS Staff, in one or more areas of need AND those delays need to be contributing to difficulty throughout your child’s school day before he or she can qualify for special education services.  LPS assessment is not designed to be a Kindergarten Readiness Screening or to determine if your child is gifted in any area of development.
