Rather than the usual Q&A format this week, we are listing places that take donations of various items. Some organizations will pick up the goods at your home, but generally need advance notice to schedule the pick-up. Computers, appliances, and so forth need to be in working order.

HOUSEHOLD GOODS: (kitchen utensils, lamps, etc.) Boys & Girls Club; Epilepsy Foundation; Goodwill; Salvation Army; VVA.

SMALL APPLIANCES: Boys & Girls Clubs; Goodwill; Salvation Army; VVA; Cambridge Furniture Bank (will pick up) 617-492-0300.

LARGE APPLIANCES: Cambridge Furniture Bank will pick up: refrigerators and freezers, washers and electric dryers less than 10 years old.

TOYS: Goodwill Salvation Army (will pick up); VVA (will pick up).
