| Ms. Jing-hua Gao Dalia began her art study at the
age of nine with Gao Yi-hung, her father, a prominent Chinese
artist and calligraphy master to Chiang Kai-shek’s son, Chiang
Ching-guo, the President of the Republic of China. She also had
the unique opportunity to study with some of China’s most
outstanding watercolorists.
Ms.
Gao Dalia has a Fine Arts degree from National Taiwan Normal
University and two years in the graduate art program at the
University of Hawaii. In 1996, she was honored for her art work
by Madam Lien, the wife of the Republic of China's former
Vice-President Dr. Lien Zhan
At the Copley Society of Boston, the oldest art society in
the US, she was the first Chinese artist to be honored with both
a solo exhibition and a Master Workshop program. She also had
solo exhibitions at the Sharon Arts Center, NH and the DeCordova
Museum, MA. Her paintings have been exhibited at such
prestigious venues as the Lincoln Center and the Soho Art
Museum, New York; the Library of Congress, Washington, D.C.;
Bower Museum, California; and Currier Museum of Art, NH. She has
been frequently interviewed by the various news media. Her
paintings have been widely exhibited and awarded in prestigious
venues and collected internationally. |
